Born in the New York area, Gail Ahlers moved to Providence to attend Rhode Island School of Design graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Light Metals. At RISD and soon after Gail made sculptural fine jewelry joining clean design with lyrical forms. A design sense she shill expresses through her sculptures. She has studied art history in Paris and sculpture at the prestigious San Miguel de Allende Institute in Mexico.

In 1989 Gail formed Ahlers Designs a company known for its artful objects that enhance your living and work space. Ahlers' design experience at home and abroad provide a unique perspective from which she creates her lines of custom-designed corporate gifts, home design accents, accessories and bejeweled travel cases.

We start with the finest material handcrafting each piece using both traditional and innovative techniques. When she is running her company or doing volunteer work she likes to make large steel sculptures, eat good food and travel the world.
