As a person who is committed to using natural products,  I decided to make my own soaps and body products for family and friends.  This led to the creation of Earthworks Soaps. With a background in chemistry, herbal medicine and aroma therapy,  I taught myself how to make creamy soaps with lots of lather that smell really good.  My soaps, butters and balms are made the old fashion way, one small batch at a time using only the purest, natural ingredients I can find.  Hand-crafted soaps are better for you than commercial soaps because all the natural glycerine is left in the soap.  Glycerine is a humectant which means it draws moisture to the skin leaving it soft and silky.  Commercial soaps dry your skin out because all the glycerine, which is produced in the soap-making process, is taken out and used for other purposes.
