"Nature and architecture are my primary sources of inspiration. In my studio, I create patterned fabrics using the traditional Japanese technique of shibori. I stitch, tie, fold and clamp the fabric before hand dyeing, to produce colorful textures, geometrical and natural patterns. The patterns, colors, and textures I like to create are reminiscent of flowers, leaves, trees, the moon, sunsets, etc. They are visual poems".
