SILENT AUCTION

Over the years, the Foundry Artists Association has raised money for a variety of worthy causes, from animal shelters to child-welfare services. This year we have chosen Dr. Safran’s Oncology Research Fund at R.I. Hospital as our beneficiary to honor our beloved member, Suzanne Tanner.

Dr Safran works with several hospitals throughout Rhode Island, including Brown, the Miriam, and Newport hospitals, to help bring cutting edge cancer drugs and clinical trials to Rhode Island residents so they don’t have to go outside the state for treatment.

This year’s show will not be the same without her smiling face, but you can help us honor her memory by bidding on a variety of unique pieces, including handmade clothing, jewelry, glass, ceramics from each of the Foundry Artists.

Suzanne, a longtime member, and once president of the Foundry Artists Association, passed away in April after a ten-year battle with cancer. Suzanne was a warrior in everything she did, from blowing glass to running, teaching spinning to skiing, and of course, loving her dogs and Taylor Swift.
